BROKEN PROMISE.

I guess this is it,
The end we never thought of.
We began our story with the end of your life.
I knew from that moment I saw you, I had to protect you.
You were built like China, surrounded by a wall. It took an eternity to cross over.
We were both alone in the world, So we had our backs.
Then a guest came uninvited, love.
We then became inseparable or so I thought.
Blinded by love, an oath was taken.
An agreement bonded by blood.
We were never to fancy another apart from us.
But I went astray.
I broke my promise, now I have to go.
Your eyes filled up with tears as you see me struggling for my life.
You wail for it to end.
Your heartbreaking with every painful breath I dragged.
Mine shattered as I stare into your teary eyes.
But it was a done deal, I had to go.
I’ll go knowing my only crime was loving my blood.
I’ll die as it’s born.
I’ll perish for the life we create.
Tell my child, I died for it.
